Thanks to @tulsauwc and @nature_org , @conserve_ok for an exciting week of trail design and instruction at Pearl Jackson Crosstimbers Preserve to kick off Anthrocene's 2026 field season! Now it's back to the mountains of Colorado with @animastrailworks for a wall along the Dark Canyon Trail in the Raggeds Wilderness.

Betty White once said that ultra-running is equal parts trying and determination and not much else. The same could be said of trail-building. With the reconstruction of sections of the Ouray County Bear Creek Trail, @anthrocene_contracting and @animastrailworks are honored to be able to contribute to the sustainability of such an impressive display of humanity as the @hardrock100run . Squeaked a couple walls out on the Bear Creek NRT reconstruction before winter set in. 21 to go in 2025! Thanks to @nationalforests and the GMUG National Forest for a great season! @ouray_trail_group
Completed heavy reconstruction on the Silver Lake Trail in Telluride, CO, before real weather arrived. Reroutes were the name of the game on the upper section, adding several new switchbacks to lower grades while creating viewpoints and enhancing character. @telluridemountainclub
