30 years ago today, James and the Giant Peach was released to theaters. This movie was the 2nd project we created at Skellington Productions after The Nightmare Before Christmas. I found several photos, some I’ve never posted, including a note from Henry Selick about the timing of a complex spider web shot. I spent months animating on the spider web set for that sequence. James is a sweet wholesome film and I have many happy memories of those days in San Francisco working with our talented crew. #jamesandthegiantpeach #skellingtonproductions #sanfrancisco

Several years ago, I was working with Clokey Productions to help bring Gumby back with either a new TV Series, a feature film or both. They were both being developed. In the meantime, I worked on a couple of short projects including this behind the scenes featurette. I animated all the shots in a week! Prior to this shoot, I developed new facial expressions largely based on classic Gumby. I utilized Dragonframe to pre-visualize expressions. #gumby #dragonframe #clayanimation
