Please Welcome Anthony Howell to the CTB Family.
Anthony’s film and television career began with his role as Roger Hamley in the BBC series Wives and Daughters. He later gained recognition for his portrayal of Sgt. Paul Milner in the acclaimed British TV series Foyle’s War, a role he played for almost a decade, alongside Michael Kitchen and Honeysuckle Weeks.
His other screen credits include roles in Woman in Gold, The Other Boleyn Girl, Mr. Selfridge, Dracula, Luther, This England, and Outlander. Most recently, he appeared in the Netflix series Fool Me Once. He is set to appear as Lord Grafton in Disney+’s upcoming series A Thousand Blows.
Anthony has also become a recognised figure in the voice-over and gaming world, with an extensive body of work in voice acting and motion capture. His background in theatre and television has greatly influenced his approach to animation and video game performances, particularly his understanding of physicality, which is essential for motion capture.
He has spoken about the unique challenges of video game acting, where performances often rely on imagination and collaboration with development teams to create emotionally resonant characters in non-traditional settings.
To date, Anthony has contributed to over 40 video games and animated films. Notable roles include Margit the Fell Omen in Elden Ring, Cyril in Final Fantasy XVI, Geppetto in Lies of P, Jonathan Reid in Vampyr, Christopher Samuels in Alien: Isolation, S.A.M. in the BAFTA-winning game Observation, and Diao in the animated film Dragonkeeper alongside Bill Nighy.
He has also completed work on ten upcoming video games set to be released in 2025, including The First Bezerker: Khazan, where he plays the Shadow Lord opposite Ben Starr.
