Today we welcomed back our very special Rolls Royce Silver Spirit 1 In her rare colours of Acrylic White with Red Everflex roof , Factory electric sunroof and sumptuous St James red Leather piped in white .. These early Silver Spirits are so undervalued but still provide wonderful service and supreme driving ( If ofcourse maintained correctly ) she’s been down in the South of France on duty for nearly 3 years .. Today The Little Applejack Green Vanden Plas 1500 twin carb 5 speed came out into the sunshine 🌞.. This very rare car , they only made 9 in period in this bold colour palette, is such a charming little soul .. We are reliably informed she is the only example in existence out of the 9 .. She brings a smile to my face and I have to tell you is such a hoot to drive .. Now the suspension has been reworked by the brilliant team of Ian and Dawn Kennedy , she is exactly as she was intended to be .. Yes eccentric , yes a slice of middle England sadly now lost , and as rare as rare can be .. Sometimes the sheer beauty of these new Phantoms takes your breath away .. What a privilege to have these two beautiful motor cars and together for a weekend of reflection.. For once a new vision for an iconic brand really pulled it off on every level .. Ofcourse we know the designer behind these two iconic Rolls Royce editions is sadly no longer with us …The late Ian Cameron was a visionary and set this iconic Brand on its way , He immersed himself in the Company’s DNA , he lived and Breathed the passion for these often misunderstood motor cars , He was head of the team that oversaw the reinvention of the worlds greatest luxury motor car .. I had the privilege of meeting him in the early days , when his design studio was set up in Park Lane at The Bank , a base for him and his team to study the cars in their natural habitat.. It’s a great tragedy that his life was cut down so suddenly.. He was in line to cast his magic over Jaguar … So sorry you were not able to continue your gifted work.. I take my hat off to you Ian and in reflection thank you bringing these two fabulous motor cars into being .. Ian Cameron , “ Designs best kept Secret “ respect to you Sir ..
