There is a mirror principle to the nature of duality, perhaps easy to conceptualize, infinitely complex to work with.
But it is this mirror principle that’s behind such findings as the “power stance”, “fake it till you make it”, smiling your way into a good mood, the infamous Law of Attraction, etc.
The practical premise is that if you are aware of something you lack, or you know what the solution is to your “problem”, you just don’t know how to find it, you can reverse engineer your problem through the function of this mirror principle and eventually get to where you need to be (not guaranteed, but your chances increase astronomically).
If you know you want to be more curious, more open, in order to create something authentic, something that feeds you, don’t tell yourself you need that first before you can create.
Challenge yourself to create something (truly anything), and let that practice become your guide toward revitalizing your curiosity.
Thoughts on perspective. I used to be married and it was wild to me how entangled two people’s sense of self-narrative and perspective could get. It took years of practice and many fights to learn how to allow space for both our perspectives on a given thing, rather than fighting for a singular prevailing narrative. I know this is relevant to the life of the artist at large, but right now this is really just a personal reflection 😊🙏
