Something interesting I was asked during this shoot was, “Do you photograph more men or women in my line of work?” At this point in my career, I would say I’ve photographed more men than women—primarily because much of my work is in tech, venture capital, private equity, and law.
But the ironic part of the journey is that 90%+ of those who hire me or inquire about working together are women. They truly are the tastemakers in my industry, and that has very much influenced my approach to proposals, client calls, stylistic choices, and how I present my brand and portfolio.
While I strive to stay authentically myself in both how I shoot and how I market, I do believe a woman’s perspective plays a meaningful role in shaping the work. #sanfranciscoportraitphotographer #sanfranciscoheadshotphotographer

Browsing through my hard drive I came across these images from our Portugal trip for @timkingphoto and @dom_dott_com 's wedding. Another trip for the books is coming to a close. New York will definitely have a special place in my heart. Some highlights include running through Central Park during a wet morning. Having the best sandwich I’ve ever had at Katz. Going to a random club with @rowbear11 and witnessing one of the DJs get hit by a car (don’t worry they’re fine). Walking by Louis CK at the comedy cellar. Staying right off Broadway. And the list could go on. So fun working with the team over at GRIN as they announced their new CEO. This was a relatively simple setup with one strobe with a large 7’ white umbrella and occasional fill from either a second strobe with a large umbrella shot into the ceiling or a simple silver reflector bouncing opposite side of the key. As for post production, I went with a warmer edit as requested by the client.

The first half of the year has just been absolute chaos in all the best possible ways. So finally time to post new work. This is my first attempt at directing motion in addition to shooting stills.
