āHey, itās so good to see you.ā
Last night felt less like an event and more like people simply coming together. I think I listened just as much as I talked ā conversations went on for hours. No pressure, no big expectations. Just people walking through the gallery, hanging out, catching up, connecting.
There was laughter, smiles, hugs, tears⦠and honestly just a really special night in Green Bay. Some people Iāve known forever, some I had never met until last night ā thank you for showing up.
A lot of heart went into sharing these stories of loss, love, and hope. Seeing families light up as we spoke our childrenās and loved onesā names out loud ā honoring them, remembering them ā meant everything to me. Their stories are not over.
Meeting Jermiah in person for the first time and finally collaborating after connecting online was wild in the best way. His work alongside these stories from families and communities right here in Wisconsin made the whole gallery feel alive.
Huge shoutout to The Art Garage and their team for creating such a welcoming space and helping bring this vision to life. They truly helped make it feel like a place where people could just come as they are and connect.
For me, the whole night was honestly kind of a blur⦠but in the best way possible. We did it.
And weāre going to do it again.
