Shaped by his background in Krump and street dance culture, his sound blends bass-heavy club energy with raw rhythm and movement

Gian aka Antagonize is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in the Philippines, now
based in Melbourne/Naarm when he migrated to Australia at the age of 14. He is respected
as one of the leaders of the “Burn City Krump’’ community, which he has been a part of since
2008.
Antagonize has taken some extensive training from some of the leaders and creators of
Krump in Los Angeles, California, the birthplace of Krump (SLX - Street Legend Xperience
private training with Tight Eyez, Building Block, Movement Lifestyle and Summer Jam Dance
Camp, Singapore) and also from local Melbourne dancers.
With the ongoing training that he partakes in, Antagonize is dedicated to share the
knowledge and culture of KRUMP and to inspire and educate the next generation of dancers
in the world.
Aside from the work that he has done with the Krump Community, Antagonize has also
started making a name for himself as a DJ.
He has played at some of Melbourne’s iconic venues such as Section 8, Horse Bazaar, Royal Melbourne Hotel, The Third Day and Key Club. As well as various dance battles and music events in Melbourne such as TLP: The Listening Party, Rnbabe, House The Feels, Jam On Toast and much more.
Antagonize continues to develop himself not just as a dancer and a DJ but also as an event
organiser.
