A charming country retreat nestled in the heart of South West Devon.
Surrounded by rolling hills and breathtaking countryside, ANRÁN features majestic Grade II-listed buildings and an adjacent dairy farm, fondly known to the locals as Tidwell.
These historic buildings, dating back to the 1700s, stood derelict and unoccupied for several years. Then, in April 2013, we purchased the farm from the Church Commissioners of England and undertook a major renovation to carefully restore the property, transforming it into a private residence.
In creating both our home and a place where we can work, our goal has been to offer luxurious accommodation alongside a range of venue rental options. We’ve also revived the farming traditions here and are proud to care for a variety of animals. Our kitchen garden is thriving, brimming with fruits and vegetables that we enjoy fresh and love sharing with our family, friends, and guests.

As part of our service, you’ll have a one-on-one consultation with me directly. I come from a background in art direction and photography, with decades of experience in media and advertising — and I’m genuinely driven by original ideas and a commitment to going beyond the conventional.
My philosophy is simple: your wedding at ANRÁN should be unlike any wedding you have ever attended. Not a template. Not a package. A truly one-of-a-kind experience — one that gives your guests and your families moments they will treasure for a lifetime.

Jin-An and Charlie’s wedding breathed the most enchanting mid-spring magic into ANRÁN, THE GLASS HOUSE — and nowhere was that magic more beautifully felt than in the details of the wedding breakfast table. Guest name cards and menus were lovingly designed by Jin-An using traditional Korean Rice Paper — Hanji — hand-crafted from the inner bark of the mulberry tree, bringing a deeply personal and cultural touch that made every place setting feel truly one of a kind.
It was the most wonderful honour to meet them both in person — and what a joy it was to discover that our paths had crossed from my homeland. Meeting Jin-An and Charlie face to face felt instantly warm and familiar, and I left with such a full heart.
What a truly lovely couple they are — gracious, warm, and full of such gentle joy. Si and Tommy are more than welcome to come running back to THE LAKE with them anytime — the door is always open. 🌿

Last weekend, Jin-An and Charlie’s wedding was so well planned. From their welcome booklet featuring their programme, and Jin-An’s own watercolour illustrations showcasing so many personal touches put into a little booklet from the first page to the last.
Their goody bags for all guests at the Friday evening event were a lovely touch too. The bags contained a can of their friend’s own @anturbrewco “Hang Ale,” featuring both their dogs, Si and Tommy, on the can cover, along with a selection of little culturally inspired gifts — a wonderful gesture to kick off their special occasion.
The wedding breakfast table guest name cards and menus were designed by Jin-An using traditional Korean Rice Paper — Hanji — crafted from the inner bark of the mulberry tree.
Such a beautifully thoughtful presentation for their families and guests, which made their wedding uniquely special.
