Yet the passage of visitors has not always been without consequence. Among the most common—and least appreciated—habits of certain travelers is the urge to inscribe their presence on walls, doors, monuments, and even rocks. These marks, often little more than names or dates, are attempts to leave a trace of one’s existence as a symbolic immortality. What makes this gesture particularly problematic is that it is uninvited. With the Vandal Collection, the premise shifts entirely. Instead of rejecting the intervention of strangers, Anotherview actively invites passersby and unknown participants to contribute to the creation of an artwork—transforming an act usually perceived as vandalism into an intentional process of collective and participatory creativity.

Late Mirror by Anotherview Rather than reflecting the present, the “mirror” displays a delayed image: what guests see is not themselves in real time, but the same table and the same seats as they were 30 minutes earlier. A discreetly positioned camera captures the scene continuously, and the footage is played back with a half-hour delay.
