While most kids were doing homework on the eve of Earth day, this group of incredible kids went to Beverly Hills city Council and worked their magic to try and get an ordinance on the next agenda for tennis balls and pickle balls to be recycled as a requirement. 500 million tennis and pickleballs thrown away every year. Non-biodegradable plastic. 400+ years in a landfill. Less than 1% ever recycled. 12 teenagers joined Habits of Waste as its first Junior Board, launched Another Bounce, partnered with Ridwell, and are going after manufacturers for national take-back programs.
