Spotted a solitary skyscraper from the stairwell of a small recordstore in Jimbocho. The view looking out through the grid of the reinforced glass windows onto a view of more grids and lines and the wide expanse of the sky was just 👌
Need to bring a bit more of that feeling into this but I like that I captured this little memory in lines

Jan / Feb / beginning of March. All a blur. Was in Rotterdam a lot 💙 saw great taxidermy, brought home a new silly adult money toy, did a lot of work both little things for ANO and started bigger projects at my other job at Amsterdam’s finest record store, got mislabeled on tv to hilarious effect. It was a blur but it was a good blur.

Kissaten | Ongaku Kissa Red and Blue
The soundtrack Miles Davis made for the French Louis Malle film Ascenseur pour l’échafaud is def something I would like to hear in a proper Jazz Kissa. But I bet it combines well with a cup of strong coffee and some toast in a regular kissaten too.
On December 4 1957 Davis recorded the soundtrack in an improv setting. He only gave his fellow musicians a few simple sequences he had assembled in his hotel room and, once the film plot was explained, the band improvised without any precomposed theme. All while edited loops of the relevant film sequences were projected in the background. There is some really cool footage of this too.
