I'm sitting here in the airport on my way home from Mo*Con, after an extraordinary weekend.
I love being with people who can challenge the way I think (in friendly and generous ways) and help me see the world from different perspectives. Not to mention all the creativity and inspiration!
Spent time with many old friends that I've loved for years and now I've met new friends and fallen in love again. What a love fest! So many thanks to Maurice Broaddus for honoring me with the perfect opportunity to connect with community. I'm so blessed.
I'm having a blast at Mo*Con, actually stayed up past 1am last night! I never do that, but I was enjoying many great conversations. Love hanging out with my old friends and making new ones.
Attended a fabulous poetry slam last night with the amazing Linda D Addison as the headliner. I didn't expect to be so emotionally touched by the poets and their distinctive work. I'm actually inspired to write some poetry myself, but don't worry. I will stay in my lane. 😉
I have so much love for Maurice Broaddus for bringing us all together. Mo*Con is a special gathering that speaks to how important community is for us.
I'm basking in this glow and still have two more days!! More soon...
