Can’t believe we made it! 30 years of the ups and downs and then up and up again. How satisfying to have created clothing of great beauty & put smiles on many faces. The fact that we still collaborate with many of the same craftspeople, whose businesses have also lasted, is a joy and testimony to the validity of our business model. Recognising the huge value in handmade textiles and details and the value of timeless designs, which people treasure and hand down. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has been a part of our journey, with love, Ann x. (Fabulous photos from 1998-2001 by Robert Maletta of @endless.safari )

@kikoromeo couture graced the runway at the 2026 Tribal Chic Fashion Show, where designers explored earth, fire, wind, and water. Featuring cyanotype art prints by @elewaart and textile concepts by @iona_mccreath , KikoRomeo’s Aora Collection—meaning river—draws inspiration from the element itself and from peacemakers around the world whose simple actions inspire hope. The collection features natural fibers throughout: cyanotype prints on linen and cotton by @elewaart , handwoven cotton adire, Malian indigo, silk and beadwork by Senait. 🎵 “Aora Odinona Yo” – ODD OKODDO @oddokoddo

Happy Women’s Day!!! I have 3 big things to celebrate- Firstly I co-authored a book. And it’s publishing this month. It’s called Femme Led: Hard-Learned Lessons from Women in Leadership. This project has stretched me, challenged me, and asked me to tell the truth. More soon. For now, I’m just sitting with the fact that I’m officially a published author. 💛 #AuthorLife #ComingSoon #FemmeLed. Then I participated in 2 wonderful fashion shows last night with KikoRomeo - see the next posts…

✨ Fashioning the Future: Monetizing African Designs in the Digital Age Africa’s fashion industry is gaining global attention not just for its creativity, but for its economic potential. In 2025, the market is expected to generate $16.7 billion in revenue, growing at a rate of 7.25% annually, and projected to reach $23.7 billion by 2030. The sector employs over 5 million people, spanning design, production, retail, and digital marketing. At this year’s AfriLabs Annual Gathering, the Creative Digital Economy Track hosted a timely conversation on how African designers can build sustainable businesses in a digital-first world. The panel, moderated by Daphne Kasambala, CEO and Founder of Meekano, featured: 🔹 Connie Aluoch, Fashion Editor at Business Daily, Nation Media Group 🔹 Ann McCreath, Founder and Managing Director of KikoRomeo 🔹 Blessing Ebere Achu, Managing Director of 360 Creative Hub 🔹 Awuor Onyango, Founder of Museum of Lived Art The discussion explored how e-commerce, social media, and digital storytelling are helping African fashion brands reach new markets, monetize their work, and preserve cultural identity in the process. 📸 Highlights from the session. #AfriLabsAG2025 #CreativeEconomy #AfricanFashion #DigitalInnovation #CulturalCapital #InnovationFuture #PolicyPartnershipProgress
