This year I am chasing something new and very exciting. I am not going to run @thespeedproject solo this year, but it doesn’t mean I won’t be running ultra long race this year! For now I am focusing on road marathon training on the first part of the year and switching to trails in the summer, to run very exiting ultra long race in a fall! Congratulations to Anya on finishing The Speed Project Solo @thespeedproject from LA to LV. 90 hours and 56 minutes took Anya to run 465.38 kilometers (or 290 miles) along roads and trails from Santa Monica to touch the ‘Welcome to the Fabulous Las Vegas’ sign. Anya: ‘Can’t believe I did it. It was tough and beautiful. Couldn’t do it without all the support from the community. Solo Mission is always a team effort.’ Pictures by @vspicturescom

What’s next? June 18–21 The Broken Arrow SkyRace, California
18K with 3,750 ft / 1,140 m vertical gain
11K with 1,950 ft / 594 m vertical gain
23K with 4,500 ft / 1,372 m vertical gain July 10–12 SOB 100K trail race, Oregon
100K with 10,500 ft / 3,200 m elevation gain August 100 mile / 160 km adventure run on the Wonderland Trail around Mount Rainier, Washington October 9-14 Moab 240, Utah
240 miles / 386 km with 31,892 ft / 9,721 m elevation gain I am pretty nervous about trail season. I’ll give my best for sure, but running such long distances, especially over 200 miles / 320 km only on trails, seems to be very hard for me. But let’s see how the training goes. Being part of such a big motivational movement, such an inspiring moment in running history, means everything to me. Running is simple. Running is for everyone. Running can change lives, and in one week, Arda changed so many lives through running. The Red Bull team believed in Arda and this project, and that project changed many lives and brought all of us together. This is such an important moment in running history. I never doubted Arda for a second. I knew he could finish it. I definitely doubted myself though. Would I be able to keep up with him? I was ready to say no a couple of days before because I was so scared that I wouldn’t be able to keep up. I am so happy to be part of something that touched so many hearts and inspired so many people. I knew he would finish and finish strong, but I never imagined the impact of this movement. This means more for running than anyone may realize right now. This is bigger than all of us, and we are proud to be part of your journey and your achievement. You are a true LEGEND ARDA, @ardasaatci , and we are all so grateful to be a small part of your journey ❤️ Thank you for being such a bright human and share your journey with all of us. Hi, my name is Anya. I see so many amazing and supportive people here, and for those who don’t know me well, let me introduce myself. You probably saw me running along with Arda the past week ❤️🦾 I have been running for many years. I have never been a professional runner it all started as a passion and one of the easiest and most accessible sports for everyone. I started running, and this sport helped me through some of the hardest parts of my life, and still does. I have run 27 road marathons with a PR of 3:00:40 (my goal is to break 3:00:00). I have completed 11 trail races over 100 kilometers, including one 100-mile race. In 2024, I ran 290 miles / 465 kilometers in 90 hours. In 2025, I ran 410 miles / 657 kilometers in 180 hours, but I completed it as a stage race with full night breaks. In 2025 I also ran 150 miles / 241 kilometers from Badwater Basin, the lowest and hottest place in the U.S., to the summit of Mt. Whitney — from 50°C (122°F) heat to falling snow in the mountains. This year, I am running 100 kilometers and 240 miles as well. Running is my passion. It helps me not only stay healthy, but also become stronger mentally and in life. I am not a professional athlete and never have been. I started running when I was around 17 years old. I am not the fastest, and I never compare myself to others, because at the end of the day, the only comparison that matters is being better than you were before. Running is an amazing sport with a beautiful community. Like we always say: if you want to run fast, go alone. If you want to run far, go together. And we are going together. I am so happy to see you all here and grateful for the support 🩷 and that @ardasaatci has such an incredible community around him. Pictures by @vspicturescom

April Report Running: 438 kilometers / 272 miles Swimming: 8 hours April was lower mileage than average for me because I was preparing for the Boston Marathon and trying to follow all the rules to get the full taper, which lowered my mileage. The main event was obviously the Boston Marathon. Even though I wasn’t able to run as fast as I had hoped, I still see progress, and I’m happy to be getting better and getting my speed back. Boston was the goal race, but it wasn’t the only exciting thing in April. There was also The Speed Project, such a special race close to my heart. I was so sad not to be running it this year, but we went to support runners in their solo missions, cheer them on, and support the teams as well. It’s trail season. So what’s next? Road season is over, it might not have gone exactly as I hoped, but there was still good progress. Now it’s time to move onto the trails. I have several races this summer, like Broken Arrow, SOB 100K, and more. The main focus, though, is the 200+ mile races in October. Moab 240. For now, I’ll be building strength through trail running and gym work, continuing my PT, and focusing on getting stronger overall. Pictures by @vspicturescom

Boston Marathon 2026 I would be lying if I said I wasn’t hoping for more. But I would also be lying if I said I’m not grateful. Progress is happening. I’m getting faster and healthier. I had just started building back before the Boston, and I knew I needed more time to truly run fast. Coming out of the longest and hardest injury of my life is going to take time, and I accept that. I did the work before Boston, and even though I didn’t feel fast, I felt much stronger. During the race from the beginning, I felt pain in my hip, my hamstring tightened, and my lower back was tighter than it should have been all echoes of my injury. My hip, in particular, was bothering me a lot, and at one point I just told myself, “Run while you can.” Somewhere in the middle, when I slowed down a bit, the pain went away. My shoes started bothering me too, but that’s a different story for my blog (soon).ugh I was just trying to find a pace where I could keep running and finish strong, because at certain points in the race, I was afraid it might end right there. I’m happy with a strong finish. Maybe not very fast, especially by Boston standards and surrounded by so many incredibly fast runners but I still BQ on Boston. Keep the dream alive. Keep building back. Strength and speed. Like my friend said: What a privilege to be disappointed with your Boston Marathon finish time. Congratulations to @vspicturescom with his 2nd Boston . Videos and pictures by @vspicturescom 2nd pic by @noahklabin what a blast was seeing you and @suzi.stein along the course Also videos by amazing @lena_bogdanova_11 , @annarunner88 they both finished strong. Thanks Akim for the video and support at Boston College I feel like this year Boston College had the most strong support zone along the course 🍀 Grateful for everyone who was shooting and supporting, I heard you all 🦄🌈🩷 Till the next time

My 27th marathon and 6th Boston Marathon Very excited to run this race. I think, for the first time, I’m going into Boston with a strategy in mind. I want to be smart and really feel the course. For many years, everyone around me kept saying how hard the Boston course is and that it’s not a PR course. Lately, though, a lot has changed. I see my training, marathon courses, and racing in a very different way now. Boston actually feels like it could be a great PR course if you approach it smartly and strategically. It’s a fun course. Even though I’m not in PR shape right now (for me, that’s breaking 3 hours), I’m coming off my first training block after an injury. During the race where I was supposed to break 3 hours, I felt the injury for the first time and barely qualified for this Boston so I’m very grateful. I still feel like I need at least 8–12 more weeks to properly build toward a PR. But for now, I want to explore the course with different approach in mind and run it smart, stay focused, and really understand it better, different. Pictures and videos by @vspicturescom who is running his 2nd Boston as well!
