One of our most asked questions is “when should I book my first fitting?”
There are 2 parts to the answer ✨🪡💕
1. Book your appointment as soon as you know your wedding date and/or have your gown. This ensures you’re on our books as a bride and guaranteed your fitting slots. Trying to book in last minute may (and usually will) result in disappointment as we get fully booked up in advance.
2. Book your first fitting FOR a date in the month around 3 months before your actual wedding date 🫶🏻 we will usually carry out 2 or 3 fittings between then and your wedding day. All other fittings after your first one will be booked in by us alongside your schedule.
However, if you require more complex alterations such as redesigns or bespoke sleeves, please get in touch asap as we’d like a consultation sooner to discuss your plan.

Prom ✨️ this beauty is all ready for collection and to have a show stopping prom moment. The hem has been shortened and the bodice taken in.
The alterations may sound simple… but they were anything but! The hem has been shortened, which meant carefully removing and restitching the “horsehair” from the layers of tulle — definitely not a task for the faint-hearted.
The bodice has also been taken in at the sides, with boning and delicate beaded appliqués repositioned to ensure the perfect fit and finish.

Bride ✨ Sophie brought me two skirts and one bodice — three stunning pieces — but each needed some work to get them wedding-ready.
Both skirts required a lot of attention. The tulle skirt for the first look was three sizes too big and five inches too long, while the second column skirt wasn’t sitting quite right around the zip and hips and was also far too long.
The bodice was beautiful from the start, but Sophie’s first instinct was to change the lace-up back. Initially, we planned to replace it with a standard zip, but during fittings we decided instead on pearl button closures with internal waist stays. This did all the work in keeping the bodice secure and perfectly in place.
In the final weeks of fittings, we made the decision to remove the straps and add delicate lace detailing to the bust cups. The look was completed with a bespoke veil, using lace that matched the bodice — and it was absolutely the right choice.
The final looks were effortlessly chic 👌✨

Bride ✨️ @jesskeeblex brought me her stunning @floraandlane wedding dress, I've admired these dresses from afar for a while. Lots of tweeks needed to this gown to get the fit just right.
~ Sholders taken up moving sleeve panels
~ Shorten hem

Such Beautiful fabric and design features on this dress, a pleasure to work with and @jesskeeblex absolutely rocked it at her garden party wedding.
Bride ✨️ @suanmadoc chose a simple full A-line cut dress with the most stunning fabric, woven gold and silver thread with an ever so slight sheen, beautiful. But the look needed elevating. We discussed lots of ideas during the first fitting, the main was how could we create a dramatic bow to sit at the back of the dress. Luckily the hem need to be shortened so I havested fabric from there to create this, and attached to a belt.
We talked about adding a split to the front of the skirt, this was an option but, was ultimately dismissed. During one of our final fittings @suanmadoc brought in her veil, to see how it worked with her dress, something was jarring. So we played! That's part of the fun of fittings, I love helping brides with styling their bridal looks. We came up with the idea of using her vail to create a cape. @suanmadoc sent me a few images and this is the result. I LOVE this bridal look, but what love the most it is a true reflection of the bride's personal style.
Alterations
~ Staps shortened adding grip electric.
~ lowered fabric at under arm.
~ Hem shortening removing part of the train.
~ Boning added bust line to keep a smooth look.
~ Bow and Belt.

Bride 💫 Ruby brought not one but five vintage wedding dresses to her first appointment! Iy was a tough prossees, but We worked through the potential of each dress until we got to this one. The original dress was at least two sizes too big and was in need of some serious TLC. The sleaves were removed to create the long gloves. It was a truly unique bridal look, and Rubylooked absolutely stunning.

Bride 💫 Jill chose two @highsocietybridallounge dresses for her wedding. A traditional lace full skirt dress and a little sequin number for the party reception.
First dress ~ this needed work to the fit of bodice, taking in moving details and boning. Shortening the full hem.
Also adding the drop straps, these were embellished with leftover lace from the hem cut-offs, so look flowed seamlessly 👌
Second dress ~ this had the fit altered around the must and waist.
