Remembering my ancestors today on May 9th, especially my great-grandfather, who died fighting fascism in World War II during the battle of Leningrad in 1941. He was wounded in battle and was on a hospital train when it was bombed. His remains lie in a mass grave some miles outside of St. Petersburg that I hope to visit one day. #worldwar2

Mushroom hunting and pumpkin carving on a happy Halloween! I found chanterelles in the forest and then carved a chanterelle into a pumpkin! Thank you to @carsonralls and @letsgotothezoo for such a wonderful time and the pictures :)
