Sometimes the best trips are the ones that were never really planned that way.
I had only gone to Vienna for just under three days on a spontaneous decision after Munich. The plan was simple: get tickets for two
@viennaimprov shows and finally see my dear Vienna friends live on stage.
And then life did that thing it sometimes does.
Somehow, very spontaneously, I ended up last night playing in the Maestro™ too. And once again it reminded me that improv really is international. You meet a few dear improv friends, get introduced to some lovely new people, and suddenly 2–3 hours later you’re all on stage together playing a wonderful show as if that had been the plan all along.
And because Vienna clearly didn’t think that was enough, there was even a spontaneous after-show stop at the English Lovers. Which means: in what felt like no time at all, a very special little Vienna chapter had already come to an end. Next time I got to plan this better to see
@english_lovers_impro
A very heartfelt thank you especially to
@viennaimprov , Christof, Anne, Jim, Ursula Anna, Joe, Shawn, Vero, Jacob and all the newly met improvisers and musicians who made this time so special.
Sometimes the unplanned stuff really does turn out to be the best stuff. Especially in improv.
