When's the last time you actually turned your phone off?
Not silenced. Not face-down on the counter. Actually, completely off.
I couldn't remember the last time I did that.
So last week we packed up the dog, drove out to a cabin in the woods, and I went fully dark for 3 days. No posting. No filming. No checking. Zero.
Running this whole show solo means if I'm not working, nothing is happening. The content doesn't post itself. Songs definitely don't mix themselves.
So giving myself permission to take a break is tough. There's always this low-level hum in the background…
What if something goes wrong? What if everything falls apart while I'm gone?
Here's what actually happened after 3 days of no contact:
Nothing fell apart.
Everything was fine and I came back more fired up than ever.
So here's your permission slip (from someone who is historically terrible at handing these out) to take a break.
