In a loving memory.
Grandma, Beta and mom back in 2018.
Being on the same land my grandma once cared for, and now doing the same, gives a deeper sense of belonging.
To have a connection with the land is a privilege. In times where so many of us are cut off from the places our families once lived on - through displacement, migration, or systems that separate us from where our food and medicine actually come from.
It shapes how we relate to nature, to ourselves, and to each other!
I hold this with gratitude. Having land, even a small piece, and being able to care for it and learn from it, is not something I take for granted.
Wild Tea Picking 🌿
For me, it’s been a way to connect with the environment and the natural world, learning about each plant and the medicine it holds.
It’s still strongly practiced among my family through generations, and I’m passionate about keeping it that way. 🫶🏻
