Social media… for all my interest in technology I am forever out of touch. I’m delighted to share a long overdue post about a recent interview with Michael Kirchoff @catalyst_interviews . we first met over drinks at the Santa Fe review talking music travels in life. Your later week reconnected and he invited me to talk more about my work. Michael is both gracious and thoughtful and our conversation gave me a lot to sit with in my own practice. As an artist, I spend so much time looking thinking and feeling in ways that don’t always translate neatly into a near thoughts so this was both a challenge and meaningful for me. I’m really grateful to him for his patience between my answers, the care he took and engaging with my work, and the London tips! I hope you’ll take a moment to read it and the other catalyst interviews. I hope there’s something in it that resonates with your own process. I would love to hear it. #chicagoartist #digitalart #hands

Do you love Dear Dave, magazine? Try Dave, Of The Week! (And see a bit of my work, Merging Dimensions) I eagerly await the magazine and spend the next 2 hours pouring over every image, rereading articles, and noting new artists to research. No really. In a fast paced world on instant, this is my time to savor slow looking. I am delighted to be included in Dave, Of The Week, online newsletter. I paused in my scrolling and skipped another cat video to instead be wisked away to a cafe in London, got lost in the dreamy collaboration of Ruth Kent and Pablo Gallegos, and sat with a single beautiful image by legend Diane Arbus. Talented writers make the scrolling fulfilling and challenge me to get out and go see some art. I’m hooked. You might be too! Thank you @deardavemag

Sacred and True. Anna Reed @annaoreed Pigment print, gold leaf, gilded frame, 16x20, 2025. Nonstop Gaze Research Unit: Samia Bzioui, Anna Reed, Agustin Rosa March 21st - April 19th, 2026 The works in this exhibition asks what it means to be recognized and by whom. The artists reveal how perception itself is constructed, conditioned, and circulated across bodies, devices, and images. What emerges is a charged space in which the the infrastructures that co-constituve the contemporary subject are made visible and unsettled. @samia_bzioui @annaoreed @rosa_studio_art On view by appt @ PERSONS UNKNOWN 1206 Maple Avenue, 6th floor, #620 Los Angeles, CA 90015

Be a part of Nonstop Gaze Research Unit @personsunknowngallery through April 19th, by appointment. Three artists analyze infrastructures that script desire, structure attention, and determine whose lives are valued and whose are rendered expendable are submitted to sustained scrutiny. @rosa_studio_art @samia_bzioui So proud to be showing with these artists and friends. I continue to play with materials and scale to create the intensity and intimacy that weighs heavy in my hands. Samia I miss you always. Special thanks to @arieloakleypelletier for your kindness and expert eyes in considering space. You offered assistance and fantastic artistic adventures! #chicagoartist #hands #cellphone #research #la

OCTOBER FIRST FRIDAY RECEPTION: Biennial 33! South Bend Museum of Art | Friday, October 3, 5 – 8 pm EST. Join us to celebrate contemporary art and artists from across Michiana and the Midwest! BIENNIAL 33: TENSILE South Bend Museum of Art | September 27–December 28, 2025 Now in its 33rd iteration, the South Bend Museum of Art’s biennial exhibition showcases the creative innovation of artists working in the Midwest. This year’s artists share what juror Scott Vincent Campbell calls a “sense of tension or tensile strength ….the ability to stretch without breaking,” both conceptually and materially. Whether employing dazzling hyperrealism or less traditional techniques such as stitching, clamping, puncturing, stacking, layering, and scattering, the twelve artists featured stretch materials and subjects to their limits. ARTISTS: Michael Coppage (Cincinnati, OH); Eli Craven (Lafayette, IN); Nicole Havekost (Rochester, MN); Basil Kincaid (St. Louis, MO); Amelia Mendelsohn (Holland, MI); Diana Noh (Chicago, IL); Ari Norris (Rockford, IL); Mary Porterfield (Chicago, IL); Anna Reed (Chicago, IL); Amanda Smith (Bloomington, IN); Travis Townsend (Lexington, KY); Jackson Wrede (Grand Rapids, MI). Biennial 33 is juried by Scott Vincent Campbell, the Midwest Programs Manager at Independent Curators International, and co-organized by Frances Jacobus-Parker, curator at the South Bend Museum of Art, with the assistance of Josh Miller, associate curator, and Morgan Watters, preparator.

In a time when everything seems fragile, I’m savoring these moments I’ve been grounded. This has been an incredible year of growth and the ability to share my artwork in so many places with so many wonderful people. I’m honored to have this opportunity to exhibit with the other grant recipients at the Turchin Center. each one dealing with a topic that is now more prevalent, precarious, and significant than when we begin. The show continues through early October. I can’t wait to share more images with you as well as the opportunity to visit later this summer. Keep creating friends. Raise your voice. Posted @withregram@turchincenter Just opened! Webs of Significance: Center Award + Grant Recipients on Friday, May 2. This powerful exhibition celebrates the voices of artists supported through the Center Santa Fe’s grant and award programs—spotlighting bold, thought-provoking work that connects art, community, and meaning. Meet artists, explore the work, and be part of an unforgettable evening of creativity and connection! #contemporaryart #contemporaryarts #contemporaryphotograpy #booneartcrawl #birthdaycelebration

I had THE BEST time at Black Creativity Night Out hosted my the Museum of Science and Industry. Along with several other artists, I was invited to speak about my work. It was so engaging and rewarding to see people interact with my pieces and hear their stories and experiences surrounding race and technology. This is my first time showing these works and I had only created them in theory. To have them work as well and better than I had planned was a magical moment for me. Talking to people and discussing why representation matters, I felt a connection with a larger world and motivated to continue this journey. People shared what being seen meant to them what questions they still had around tech and data, the decisions they are making in their lives and one woman was moved to tears. She said they’re trying to erase us and it reminded me how important it is to tell our stories and to be seen. Thank you to my bestie @abrhmsseed everyone who came out, everyone I talked to, and @msichicago for your support. .
