This was my first time sewing a Viki Sews pattern. It took me a while to try one because of the limited sizing. I knew it would take some extra work to make modifications to get the fit right. With that said, I loved the design and pattern. 👖Blanton Pants by @sewmuchjazz

Now the pants!!? Completely different experience ! 🥰 No modifications, I made a size 24, and honestly I could have sized down ( I didn’t account for the stretch in the denim) Also… im a high-waisted gal’, I love high waist pants !

Last week @sewanastasia dropped a tutorial, DIY padded bike shorts! The timing couldn’t have been more perfect since I had a spin class this past weekend with @big_bodied_baddies ✨
Within a week, I gathered my supplies, repurposed an old pair of leggings, and made my own pair. 🚲

☀️My third make with @cashmerette
🧵 I had so much fun sewing the #RoslindaleJumpsuit . I used a bold cotton Ankara fabric. I added turquoise piping to the darts and pockets to highlight the shaping lines of the garments.
📏 For fit details, I made size 26 with the C/D cup bodice top and used the standard back/bottom pattern piece. If you need a full bum adjustment, no worries, @cashmerette provides that option in the pattern.
😎 This also wraps up my collaboration makes with @cashmerette 💕 I’m really grateful for the opportunity to sew along with other makers and share these projects with the sewing community.

Yesterday @chicagosews went on a sewing field trip 🚌 to visit the @paultazewell exhibit!
If you are coming to Chicago for @hhamericas or @fiberfabriccraftfest in May I highly recommend the exhibit.
Seeing the craftsmanship up close was incredible! The storytelling was moving ❤️
And yes… we all left the gift shop with a new seam ripper 😂
