We wanted to give it a full day together before we shared with the public, but surprise! Friday afternoon, in a brief gap between rain showers, Anna and I were married in a civil ceremony. We told only our immediate family to keep it a surprise. Don’t worry! We still plan on a friends & family ceremony in the future. But this - this was just for us.
It was perfect: quiet, calm, in a serene park with a creek babbling nearby. And in the distance? Church bells singing. Anna - my love, my heart, my world, my WIFE - I’m beyond grateful to have you in my life and by my side. I prayed for so many years to find you, and while it took a while, we were finally brought together. I couldn’t ask for a better, more loving, more supportive woman to call my wife, and I’m eternally grateful I get to be your husband. I can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family in the future, but more immediately, I look forward to spending the rest of our lives together. I love you, Anna, now and forever (and a day).
I also have to give a huge thanks to Pastor Rob for agreeing to be our officiant on such short notice (fun fact: most courthouses in Indiana no longer do courthouse marriages 😅), and to @michaelabel289 - thank you for taking such stunning photos of this special moment.
