Orlando isn’t just where I live—it’s the city that raised me. As the daughter of working class immigrants who chose to call this city their home, my journey has always been about one thing: giving back to the community that welcomed my family and that helped raise me.
After my time in the Florida Legislature and serving as a non-profit executive, I am grateful to have the support of many community leaders that have worked tirelessly alongside me to improve the lives of our residents: from tackling the affordability crisis to ensuring every neighborhood has the high-quality healthcare and economic stability we deserve.
The strength of our city is our people. I am ready to continue leading with grit and grace from the State Capitol to City Hall so we can build a future where every family can thrive.

On Day 60 of Legislative Session, I filed an amendment on HB399 to fix the problems caused by the passage of SB180 from 2025. And I got so close to forcing a vote — but then the Majority Party recessed to see how they could rule me out of order.
Here’s me debating the point during recess with GOP Leadership. Hard to win when the numbers are against you but it’s always worth fighting. 💪
Orlando is my home. I’ve spent my life working for you and fighting for us. And now, I’m excited to take that fight to Orlando City Hall.
Our kickoff video highlights the magic of our neighborhoods, my lifelong commitment to public service, and our bold vision for an Orlando that puts *people first*—with affordable housing, public transit, safe streets, better wages, and a government that works for everyone.
This campaign is about *all of us.* Let’s write Orlando’s next chapter together.

Kicked off our morning at the 2026 Get Your Rear in Gear 5K at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake to support the fight against colon cancer and raise funds for the Colon Cancer Coalition (@coloncancercoalition ). 💙
It was beautiful to see so many familiar faces and friends, but gut wrenching to learn how many of us have been impacted by colon cancer.
Together we will continue to raise awareness, ensure prevention, and save lives — honoring those no longer with us through action. Grateful to everyone who showed up this morning, much love and appreciation. 💪

Had a wonderful time tabling @lulunleashed ’s birthday in Thornton Park! 🐈
So sweet to see our community come together for Mayor Lulu and much love to @brozanskiforcats and all of our Thornton Park small businesses who made this celebration possible.
Honored to attend the LANES 22nd Annual Evelyn Pitts Dallas Memorial Scholarship Luncheon today in Apopka celebrating 23 outstanding high school seniors and college graduates. 🎓

Spent part of today at the Early Learning Coalition of Orange County’s(@elcoc_ ) “Slide Into Summer” event, a beautiful reminder that learning doesn’t stop when school lets out. ☀️📚
This event brought together families, educators, and community partners to promote early childhood education, literacy, and family engagement for children from birth to five years old. Hundreds of families received educational toys and resources to help keep young minds active and supported throughout the summer.
Early learning matters. The first five years of a child’s life are critical to their growth, development, and future success, and investing in families during those years strengthens our entire community.
Thank you to the Early Learning Coalition and all the community partners who made today possible and continue showing up for Orange County families every day!
It was a great morning with the @orlandoday1921 as a co-chair at their annual fundraiser! 🩵
Early learning education is critical to developing our community’s future. After visiting the Orlando Day Nursery, it was clear that their combination of love and learning makes such a difference in the lives of Orlando’s children.

This morning we launched our Defend Public Schools Canvass with @vote4pena and @voteangiegallo ! ✏️
As a graduate of OCPS, I know the importance of protecting our public schools and it’s why I’m proud to support two education champions that will work hard to center our students, teachers, parents, and support staff on the School Board.
