Anna was born on the 7th of the 7th, and her Da swore it would guarantee her a life of luck.
Now at 35 after seven heartbreaks (four real, three delulu), seven tattoos (meaningless), and seven trips back home, she’s starting to wonder if her biggest break was landing a role on Ireland’s biggest soap at 17.
This is a show about luck, life, and what it means to have a lucky life - where you can’t change the channel, because that’s life (live stand-up). Sorry.
SOAPSTAR is a sharp stand‑up hour that questions the myth of luck through the lens of a former Irish soap actress turned comedian. Anna weaves memoir, myth questioning and smart punchlines into a story about reclaiming your own narrative. It’s unique because it blends soap‑opera glamour with comedy and honesty, offering both sitcom nostalgia and savage life lessons. If you’ve ever wondered how to turn setbacks into stagecraft (and why the number seven won’t save you), this is the only Fringe show that makes superstition uproariously relatable.
