Howdy friends!
Since today is my birthday, I think it's high time I share the wonderful little project I have been building over the past several months - I'm pleased to introduce you to HomePageAgain.com! This is my attempt to bring back the weird, creative internet we grew up with. The one that felt personal and human. Think Myspace meets GeoCities and modernized with a touch of love for features I've always dreamed of.
You get your own pixel home (and can wander a graphical neighborhood to visit others!), join ThreadRings(communities that can actually branch and evolve) and just… exist online without algorithms, ads, or data tracking.
You can fully customize your profile page, or even build your own little webpage in its place.
It’s a place for expression, not performance. I’m also building a community search engine for the small web, so you can actually find cool personal sites again.
I’ve been developing this solo in my spare time because I miss when the web felt like a place to connect rather than a place where companies profit off of our data (really, privacy is a core ethos for me here!). It’s still in beta and a bit rough around the edges, but it’s real and you can already build your home and start exploring today!
If that sounds like your kind of internet, come hang out, grab a tea, and meet the neighbors
(And if you’re a dweeb like me… full decentralization is planned for the next phase 😉 ThreadRings are technically joinable by external websites already, I’ll be releasing the steps for self-hosted sites soon!)
Hi I am teaching my first multi week course after a workshop email turned into a many many pages rant I have dubbed "The Trans Clown Manifesto"
Would love to see you there on Tuesdays starting 5/27 😘 Ticket link in bio!!
Course description:
Peek behind the fourth wall and into the soul of your audience with our four-week journey into The Queer Clowning Framework. This course, rooted in the intersections of gender expression and stage performance, invites participants of all backgrounds to embrace vulnerability, playfulness, and creativity - no previous clown experience required! In this class we will explore the awkwardness and discomfort generated from explicitly gendered interactions, and practice utilizing that energy in the context of comedic performance. While the material in this class was derived from queer experiences, the content is applicable to all who are open to exploring with an open mind!
Topics we will cover:
Voice
Movement
Social Dynamics
Expression
The Flop
Skill based clowning
Vulnerability
Looking at your audience
Performing for your audience
Becoming your audience
Losing your audience
Wishing your audience came back
Regaining your audience
Maybe some laughs

Let's reclaim the mood a bit today.
I'm happy to release the first demo build of my game, Worlds Unbound!
This build allows you to build a map (and upload custom assets) and test it! I'm really excited to post this, and even more excited to share it. I have the link in my profile if you'd like to check it out and support this project :)

"We met on a juggling forum in the 2000's"
Such a great time at Portland Juggling Festival with friends old and new this weekend! It feels great to be in a space that nurtures my creativity and pushes the limits on what I can create. Can't wait for next year 🥳
