Annabel Hett, „Between me and you“
„Between me and you“ investigates how textiles—through light, color, and layering— offer
adjustable levels of privacy. The cotton fabrics in varying shades of blue create different feelings
for the room and new shades develop depending on lighting and layering. The project
investigates: how can textiles construct intimacy, and what becomes possible in a space when
those levels become fluid and responsive?
Nr. 2 exhibition recap
They are short-lived, typically lasting no more than a few days. - 2024, Textile instillation, wire, fabric and string
I had the pleasure of exhibiting my work at @villa_kultur as a part of @aaben_festival last year in October. I was there together with the wonderful band @nebulahmusic playing a show under the open sky. 🤍
Nr. 1 of exhibition recaps 🥒🫙
From March until June last year I had the great pleasure of exhibiting with my dear @timmyia__ at @longprojects .
Our exhibition was called „Pickled Memories“ and through the span of four months we tried to preserve memories, to hold on to the good and the bad ones. We wanted to work with the idea of holding on and letting go of things. We were interested to look closer at what is a memory and how important are our own ones.
The exhibition changed three times with both a little opening and a closing ceremony. Each phase of the exhibition had a soundscape, made by Timmy Olivia, which could be accessed by scanning the QR code on the window.
We started of with preserving our own memories, represented or connected to object, in pickle brine and installed a box where people could donate their own objects for a month anonymously, maybe giving us a little note about the memory.
In the second phase we then added those donated memories to our shelf, the memory bank was growing.
In the third and final phase we took the memories out of the pickle brine and made jello sculptures out of it. The memories had been in the jars for several weeks and their essence was slowly dissolving into the liquid, that we then presented.
We had a little event where we presented our jello sculptures, and showcase a picture of them with the empty trays for the rest of the month.
Thanks to @rikke__bank and @genuineplastics for letting us experiment in your little window. And big thanks to @timmyia__ for doing this with me, through all the ups and downs, it was a blast. And thanks to everyone who took part in our little exhibition, by looking at it and maybe even donating your memories.

❤️❤️❤️
I’m terrible at promoting my own work or showing online what I’ve been doing. So here’s a try at doing something about it.
I’ll do a little recap of past exhibition over the next couple weeks, to share a little bit of what has been happening.
And to start with, just for fun, there is this video of me being extremely happy that I made two horses run towards me, in autumn this year at a lovely country side weekend with friends ❤️❤️❤️
Upcoming exhibition at @villa_kultur on the 13th of September in Copenhagen. Entrance from 19:30.
The event is a part of @aaben_festival .
This exhibition is together with the wonderful band @nebulahmusic which will play at 21:00.
I’m super excited for this event and would be so stoked to see as many lovely faces as possible. Here is a little sneak peak and real life footage of making a textile installation in Berlin summer time 🔥❤️
Part 2 (cause Insta won’t let me upload it all in one) Thanks Denmark for the past three years! Thanks for all the wonderful memories, laughs and cries, for all the concerts, ocean dips and bike rides. But most of all thanks to all my wonderful friends that I have met there, you guys are truly the best, and I miss you already! Tak for for nu, vi ses snart igen! ❤️❤️❤️
