Hanger loops⦠tiny detail or hidden fashion mystery? š
Why do some clothes have them, and others donāt? Are brands quietly deciding what deserves āspecial treatmentā? šµļøāāļøāØ
These little loops help keep garments in shape, prevent stretching, and make hanging easierābut there might be more to the storyā¦

They say fate speaks in symbols.
In old tales, red was never just a color -
it meant desire, power, a warning⦠or a promise.
Borrowed things carried memories,
luck passed hand to hand like a secret
never meant to be kept forever.
And blue -
the rarest sign -
was said to belong to prophecy:
to the sea, the sky,
and the women who could see what others couldnāt.
Thereās an old myth that the Fates would weave signs into ordinary days -
threads of crimson, whispers of borrowed gold,
a flash of blue in the corner of your eye -
to warn you that your story was about to change.
Most people missed it.
Some didnāt.
And somewhere between coincidence and prophecy,
I created this post āØ

If youād told me 10 years ago that Iād be swapping my trusty sketchpad for AI prompts, I probably wouldāve thought you were pitching a sci-fi movie. šØš¤
After a decade in the costume design trenches, Iāve learned that the only thing more unpredictable than a last-minute fitting is the rapid evolution of our tools. Iāve gone from "where did I put my fabric scissors?" to "how can AI help me visualize this avant-garde concept?" And honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Embracing artificial intelligence in my creative process has been a fascinating journey. Itās like having a super-powered assistant who never complains about revisions (mostly!). It allows me to explore new textures, patterns, and silhouettes with incredible speed, pushing the boundaries of whatās possible in design. This synergy of traditional craftsmanship and innovative tech keeps things exciting and fresh.
Ten years in, and Iām still just as obsessed with the "how" as I am with the "what." Whether itās a hand-stitched detail or an AI-generated concept, itās all about the story we tell and the magic we create.
To my fellow creatives: how are you integrating AI into your workflow? Letās share our triumphs and hilarious AI mishaps in the comments! š

That ādonāt wear the same outfit twiceā rule? Yeah⦠we left that somewhere in 2010 šāāļø
Same clothes, different mood.
Same blazer, new energy.
Same dress, but now itās styled like a whole new personality.
And showing up in the same outfit as someone else?
Iconic. Not embarrassing. It just means you both have taste.
Style was never about more.
Itās about how you wear what you already own.
So repeat the outfit.
Rewear it better. š

3 things I donāt give a sheesh about:
1. Other peopleās opinions when theyāre forced on me or wrapped in manipulation. Advice is welcome - pressure isnāt.
2. The idea that being āsuccessfulā should be my lifeās ultimate goal or define my worth. Iāll define that for myself, thanks.
3. āToo many cat videos.ā That limit does not exist. š¾
What about you?

āReally goodā used to be the goal. In todayās creative industries, itās the baseline.
Every year, the Oscars offer a snapshot of where creative standards - and expectations - stand. And if thereās one clear takeaway from recent ceremonies, itās this: technical excellence alone no longer guarantees recognition. Originality, clarity of vision, and distinct creative identity are what separate nominees from everyone else working at the same level.
For costume designers, this shift is especially relevant.
