I have been in kind of a weird headspace but I think I'm coming out of it because I actually want to take pictures with people again. Isn't it wild how our brains do weird things like that. Anyway I'm here to tell you that my band Half Nelson only has two shows officially booked this year as of right now. Maybe that's bad to say out loud but who cares. It just means you need to come to them. Don't worry we've got other stuff cooking too. This past weekend was very fun also. Okey I think that's all for now. OK the thought of ending the year with such a depressing post and general view of life, while fair, was bumming me out. There's a lot of good stuff going on. Like honestly a LOT. One time somewhat recently, I was asleep on my parents' couch when I woke up to what I can only describe as the sound of demons wailing from hell. "This is it," I thought. "I died." When I sat up and turned around, I realized it was just Franklin screaming at my mom to wake up and feed him. It was 4 a.m. "He does this every day," my mom told me. Franklin was such a little rascal, just as desperate for food as he was attention, always making sure his presence was known. It feels impossible but inevitable that both he and Bear are gone now, but I always knew one would leave right after the other. They had been together since birth and are now together forever. I'm trying to remain grateful for the time I got, but it never feels long enough. I love you Frankie. I love you Bear.

I don't know what to say, this year sucked ass. If losing my job wasn't enough, I started losing my hair. Health problems, car problems, money problems, being rejected by 100 jobs (literally). And that's just me, I haven't even mentioned the state of the country, of the world. I definitely felt bad more this year than I felt good. Fortunately, when it was good, it was really good. I am so very lucky to have had the best people to lean on, sometimes literally. I am trying to move forward. I am trying not to dwell on the misery and embrace the good stuff. Thank you to everyone who is adding care and kindness to the world. Everyone else can kick rocks. I love you and I hope we all have a better year this next time around
Being timely in my monthly recap!! October flew by, Rocky Horror took over my life, I went to so many shows, I saw so many friends, there were rough patches and I am so tired but ultimately I am very happy. What a concept!

I don't want to post this but if I don't do it now, I may never. My dad brought you and Franklin home in a basket as a surprise after he said no more cats lol. I should have come home more, but I guess I thought we had more time. You made the weirdest squeaks and cutest flops. I love you so much Little Bear, and I'm glad you aren't in pain anymore ❤️
