There’s a version of me I imagined years ago -
clear, confident, already “there.”
I’m not her.
Life had other plans.
It gave me mistakes, hard lessons, failures, and moments where I had to rely on others more than I expected.
And somewhere along the way, I just became… myself.
Not perfect. Not finished. Not fully aligned with that original vision.
And maybe the hardest part isn’t where I am -
it’s how I see it.
That quiet voice that says it’s still not enough.
That constant push to do more, be more, prove more.
I don’t know if that mindset is a strength or a flaw.
But I know this:
it’s what keeps me moving, evolving, refusing to settle.
Maybe we’re not meant to become who we once imagined.
Maybe we’re meant to outgrow that version entirely.

As soon as you go on stage, you take a risk.
You take the risk of being uncomfortable, embarrassing yourself, being boring, rambling, forgetting what you wanted to say, or saying something that doesn’t come out exactly the way you meant.
But take that risk.
Because by taking that risk, you also gain visibility you didn’t have before, you show what you know, you share your ideas, you build credibility, you impress your lead, you impress people you’ve never met before, you grow your network, you open doors you didn’t even know existed, you create opportunities, you get invited to new projects, you strengthen your confidence, you develop your leadership voice, you inspire someone in the audience, you make your work visible, you build your reputation, you get a promotion, you move into a leadership role…
So take this risk.
Don’t think of going on stage as a standalone event. This single event might be the beginning of something much, much bigger.
So take that risk.

Active listening builds trust faster than any speech ever could.
It’s easy to focus on what to say next, how to sound convincing, or how to stand out.
But the real shift happens when you stop trying to respond and start trying to understand.
Because people don’t remember perfect words or polished delivery.
They remember how you made them feel.
And feeling heard is what creates real connection.
One of the best collaborations I had last year! I collaborated with Carlos and Rob on a persuasion speech workshop at Zalando—what a great match reuniting those two.

“Dominate the room” sits in a very specific category of language: control, authority, presence. It comes from spaces historically shaped by masculine norms (business, leadership, performance), where being seen as powerful often meant being assertive, loud, commanding.
So when people hear it, it can feel:
Aggressive rather than persuasive
Performative rather than authentic
About control, not connection
And that’s where the tension is, especially today.
Because the most effective speakers don’t actually dominate a room. They:
hold attention
create trust
guide the energy
make people lean in
“Dominate” implies taking space.
Great storytelling is about earning it.

It has been quite a challenging time lately, and at the same time exciting. Working, fitting in, and finding the right balance between work and health isn’t easy. I tend to push myself too hard and sometimes forget to take care of myself... I end up looking tired, feeling tired, and making poor choices.
Recently, I gave myself a bit of a break. Things are moving slower than expected, but building a business is about endurance, not a sprint.i
