On the 20th of July, 2023, I received an email from @tinko_abby . What was its content? I had just been selected for a role on the Showmax series, “Princess on a Hill,” following my audition in May. The character I got to play was DUNI.
I was ecstatic. “A Showmax series!” I thought to myself. “My first role ever is in a Showmax series? What?!” I could hardly believe it.😅
Then I read the script, and I just fell in love. I felt so blessed to be a part of it. Beneath the excitement and disbelief was a full well of gratitude.
Fast forward to the actual shoot in August/September, I was on set for three days (not consecutive) and it was the best feeling ever. My able directors @bibisobo and @tolu.ajayi2 , my warm executive producer turned boss, @itsfolashayo and the entire cast and crew I met on set put their best feet forward.
The way everyone showed up and worked together like a well-oiled machine is forever etched in my memory.
Altogether, that experience set a pretty high standard and renewed my already existing admiration for filmmaking.
