🎬 Introducing the AnimateNGxCreator Collaboration Initiative 🎬 One of the biggest problems Nigerian animators face isn’t talent. It’s visibility. There are amazing artists creating incredible work every day that simply don’t reach enough people. So we want to change that. AnimateNG is launching a new creator collaboration initiative where members of the community can submit animations, breakdowns, process videos, tips, short films, experiments, behind-the-scenes content, and more to be featured on the AnimateNG page. So if you feel you have content that would be helpful to the community and animators in Nigeria. It could be a tutorial, a tip, a trick, a behind the scene footage of you getting your thing done… We are ready to collaborate. Selected creators will: ✨ Be credited as collaborators on posts ✨ Get their work featured to a wider audience ✨ Build visibility for their personal brand ✨ Grow alongside a community of serious animators This is bigger than reposts. We’re building a platform that consistently pushes Nigerian animation talent forward. If you’re creating, experimenting, learning, or storytelling through animation, we want your work to be seen. Together, we grow the scene.

AnimateNG is a monthly animation challenge created to spotlight talented animators and grow a vibrant animation community. Each month, animators are given a theme and the freedom to interpret it through their own unique storytelling, movement, and style. 🎯 Theme (May 2026): JUMP CYCLE This month’s challenge is focused on jump cycles. Timing, weight, impact, motion, and personality. Whether your animation is realistic, comedic, stylized, exaggerated, energetic, or subtle, we want to see your unique interpretation brought to life through animation. 📌 Submission Guidelines 🎨 Medium: Any animation style 🚫 NO AI-GENERATED ANIMATIONS ALLOWED 📅 Deadline: 26th May, 2026 🏆 Judging Criteria Following recent community feedback, we want to improve transparency and accountability in how submissions are judged. 🔥 APRIL THEME ANNOUNCEMENT 🔥 It’s a new month, and that means a new challenge! This April, we’re focusing on one of the most essential skills in animation… 🚶🏾‍♂️ THEME: WALK CYCLE (PERSONALITY) A simple walk can say a lot about a character. Are they confident? Tired? Proud? Nervous? Your job is to bring that personality to life through movement. 🎯 Challenge: Create a walk cycle that clearly shows your character’s personality. 📌 Guidelines: • Duration: 5–10 seconds • Must be loopable • No AI-generated animation allowed • Any style is welcome (2D, 3D, stop motion, etc.) Submission Guidelines • upload your video submission to Instagram with the hashtag #animateNG004 and tag @animate_ng • Send the post of the video submission to our DM • Make sure you are in the WhatsApp community(link in bio). Before announcing the Top 4 finalists, we want to showcase and appreciate everyone who participated. Every entry mattered. We also want to sincerely apologise for the delay in the Top 4 announcement. Some submissions were missed, so a reassessment had to be done. To ensure fairness and quality, an internal review process had to be conducted to carefully select the Top 4 submissions before moving to public voting. This took a little longer than expected, but it was important to us that the selection process was thoughtful and intentional. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
