Well last night we were truely blessed.
Many of you will know we have a lot of charitable associations with different organisations around the world. One of these is the Turtle Foundation who take great care in protecting the loggerhead turtle.
As we are currently on an island that is well known as a nesting site for them and protected by international law we were very honoured to have been allowed onto a nesting beach last night to observe a female coming in to lay her eggs and go back out to sea again.
We used only red lighting to not disturb her and stayed silent (hence adding some music to the video). Accompanied by the night rangers they allowed us to watch and film her once she began to lay. Such a life privilege right there.
Finally we joined the rangers watching for hatching babies going in the wrong direction so we can take them down to the sea safely from the waiting hoard of crabs (they eat the babies).
Animals UK has associations with many charitable organisations around the world that put conservation and protection above anything else.
A sight to witness that is awe-inspiring and emotional.

Jasmin has been running round the kitchen getting some tasty treats this morning. We have been working closely with a natural treat supplier to find some great treats for exotic mammals. I’ll post all the details soon for you
