Our @manchesterpigsave group hold monthly vigils. Earlier this month they witnessed these beautiful souls, moments before they entered the slaughterhouse, destined to die.
Is their life really worth a steak or a hamburger? It's 2026 and we have many other tasty options that don't involve suffering and death.
Please be vegan... for them.

We see them, we give them love and a friendly touch, and we tell their stories to the world. These are the invisible beings who we are trying to shine a light on.
Come join us a vigil, bear witness and #MeetTheAnimal ❤️
Be vegan for them 🌱
Honouring the life and legacy of Graham Dymond.
Graham was a dedicated activist who stood for animals with compassion and courage. A key organiser with Liverpool Pig Save and a regular at Manchester Pig Save and other Animal Save Movement vigils, he showed up again and again to bear witness and speak for those who could not.
He also helped ensure the smooth running of Liverpool vigils, often going out of his way to pick people up from the train station so the maximum number of activists could attend the remote slaughterhouse location.
His compassion, commitment and presence will be deeply missed.
Graham’s compassion and dedication made a real difference for animals and for our movement.
Rest in peace, Graham 💚🐷
Safety is a number one priority.
After the tragic loss of #ReganRussell on June 19, 2020, who was struck by a pig transport truck while bearing witness, Animal Save Movement set up a dedicated safety committee.
We worked on safety rules to protect activists at slaughterhouse vigils, especially at high-risk sites like Toronto’s cow slaughterhouse, where trucks drive onto sidewalks where activists often stand, back up quickly into the slaughterhouse with major blind spots.
👉️ Be safe
👉️ All attendees shall wear reflective vests at all times.
👉️ Attendees should not approach trucks in motion
👉️ Attendees should not be in blind spots which are absolute no go zones. Blind spots are extremely dangerous and no one should ever be in them. 300 people are killed per year in crashes directly attributable to truck blind spots in the US alone.
👉️ Activists should bear witness on the curb side of the truck, not on the traffic side.
👉️ Activists should not put arms in trucks. If a truck moves or animals panic, you can be seriously injured.
We’d like to set up #AnimalActionSafeCommunities with multiple organizations. Contact [email protected].

It was a brutally cold at the @manchesterpigsave vigil on Tuesday. Eight trucks arrived delivering pigs to slaughter - approximately 2,400 young pigs, and five trucks delivering cows - around 100 cows… in just over 3 hours …horrific.
Please don't support this, choose a kinder way. Be vegan.

2,400 young pigs went in to slaughter this morning, this little chap was one of them…all we have now is an image of your beautiful face. 😥
Manchester Pig Save
East London chicken save, first vigil of the year.
The chickens 🐓 were crammed into crates in the cold, awaiting a cruel and unnecessary death.
Time to expand our circle of compassion to all animals. Be vegan and join the Animal Save Movement. ✊

31 years ago, Jill Phipps was killed protesting live animal transport.
She stood where animals needed witnesses most and paid with her life.
Jill’s courage helped ignite a movement, and her fight continues every time we show up for animals.
We remember Jill today. We carry her legacy forward. 🖤
Look at him.
He is just a baby.
Hours ago, he was eating grass and breathing fresh air with his friends.
Now he is on a truck, on his way to die.
This should not be his fate.
Do not look away.
Be vegan.
