Licky the Squirrel glider enjoying some room service meal worms on this cold, rainy day 🐛🌧️ Here in South Australia, squirrel gliders haven’t been seen in the wild since 1991. However you can book a private wildlife encounter to meet our friendly gliders (+ quokkas, wombats, koalas, pythons and more!) at AAHQ or have our mobile education team come to you! 🐾 #squirrelglider #adelaidehills #visitadelaidehills

This is what our animals are saying to the incoming hot weather!!!! 😜 Big thank you to all that booked us for events tomorrow, but unfortunately our critters come first and we will all be home keeping cool and looking out for fires 🔥 Our Aussie wildlife are pretty tough, but just a reminder that your local backyard buddies may need an extra hand over the coming days, too. 👉🏼 Koala 📸: @rosieisabella_ / @thebiophiliaproject_

Yesterday’s wildlife highlight! I was meeting up with my good friends from @animalsanonymous__ in Western Victoria and we came across this Anilios bicolor—the dark-spined blind snake—making its way across the road. This large species of blind snake was going to get hit by the car behind us, so we gently helped guide it to safety while being pretty excited to find this awesome animal! Blind snakes spend most of their time underground feeding on ants and termites, so spotting one above ground is a rare treat. They’re harmless, delicate, and incredibly fascinating once you get a close look. What a cool encounter! Don't touch snakes in the wild! #AniliosBicolor #DarkSpinedBlindSnake #BlindSnake #ReptileRescue #Herping #blacksnakeproductions
