you’re gonna want to try @anhematx for their taasty vietnamese eats! 🤤 located in Crestview neighborhood on west Anderson lane, a trio of siblings Lamson, Thaison + Mindy decided to open their own family-driven restaurant featuring shareables, banh mi, pho, rice plates, vermicelli bowls, iced drinks + dessert! 🍜 still in their soft opening stages, they are easily one of my favorite new openings this year! 💥

🐖 pork belly bahn mi (delishhhh!)
🧋 iced vietnamese coffee (strong! exactly the way I like it!)
🍦 matcha soft serve (sooo creamy + true to flavor)
I know I’ll be coming back to try the rest of their menu - their nitro Thai tea sounds heavenly! 🌟

“Gần nhau là cười” is a phrase in a popular Vietnamese nursery rhyme that translates to “when we’re together, we’re laughing/smiling”. Anh Em has been open for a whole month now, and this phrase rings truer than ever. We have loved witnessing first dates, baby’s first pho, friends gathering for a game of mahjong, and siblings fighting over the bill. Thanks for filling our dining room with so much love and laughter! 💚💛

Yes, you heard me. Nitro. Thai. Tea. No, I don't know how it's possible, but @anhematx has me by the throat with this completely dairy-free yet velvety brew. It's entirely too smooth, sweet enough to be entirely addictive, and my current favorite treat. I crave it even more than milkshakes, which is really saying something for me.
Don't worry, the food program is solid too, not to be outdone by a drink. It's especially nice to have the option of either fried or soft tofu in the pho, as I honestly think that the soft version is better for soaking in the broth. If you're still hungry, the bread on the tofu banh mi is stellar; just specify no pate, no mayo, and no fish sauce to keep it vegan.
This spot just opened up and is already swinging for the fences. Don't be surprised if there's a line on any random weekday.
