A more closeup tried.
I went to photograph the moon rising behind the Sydney Opera House. You are looking at a goal delayed for years. Laziness stopped me from finding the time and location earlier. A dear friend walked on an injured foot to help me reach the spot.

Worth the climb.
1 km up. In the dark. Headlamps cutting through the silence.
At Barrenjoey Lighthouse, the sky doesn’t just appear—it takes over.
Often described as a rare “urban dark sky” location—this close to the city.
Under the guidance of @jaydidphoto , this wasn’t just about shooting the Milky Way.
It was about timing.
Waiting for that final flicker of light from the lighthouse before darkness returns.
Adapting to the shifting light.
Moving with awareness—every step, every beam, every moment shaping the frame.
Patience becomes part of the process.
Wait. Watch. Shoot.
Every frame asked for intention.
Challenging.
Exposed.
Unforgettable.
Worth every step.
📸 Shot on Sony A7V + 20mm f/1.8
📸 Iconic location. Clear, dark skies. A night that stays with you.

Really loved working with @anglesofinfinity on this one - you have the kind of eye that knows exactly what the camera can do with it. The rust, the hard light, the old industrial bones of Cockatoo Island - they found frames in all of it that I wouldn’t have thought to look for.
Great day out - a photowalk with @stglophotos .

Serving desi glam by the water!✨❤️ Draped in this stunning lehenga, every twirl feels like a story of elegance, strength, and a little bit of magic. Flowing with the breeze, grounded like the waves… this is where tradition meets my vibe 🖤🌊

There’s a moment in dance where movement becomes pure energy.
Flour suspended in the air, light catching every particle, and a split second where motion freezes into something sculptural.
During this creative flour dance modelled by talented @chynna_anderson at a @sonyalpha.anz workshop hosted by @zeeshawnphotography at @studiointhemill , we explored how timing, lighting, and movement can transform something simple into something almost cinematic.
Every jump, every gesture, every burst of flour created a completely different shape in the air. No two frames were ever the same.
The final frame shows the quiet reset between shots — a reminder that behind every dramatic image is preparation, patience, and collaboration.

When movement becomes sculpture.
Flour in the air.
Light cutting through the particles.
A single moment where motion freezes into something almost otherworldly.
Captured during a creative flour dance modelled by the talented @chynna_anderson at a @sonyalpha.anz workshop hosted by @zeeshawnphotography at @studiointhemill , exploring motion, studio lighting, and the unpredictable beauty of flour in flight.
Every jump, turn, and breath creates a completely different pattern. No two frames are ever the same.
A reminder that photography sometimes isn’t about controlling the moment…
…it’s about being ready when it explodes into something beautiful.
