As I slowly approach the end of my 36th journey around the sun, I’ve been reflecting a lot on the many lives I’ve lived within this lifetime alone. ✨
I’m so proud of the human and artist I’ve become, and my inner child is truly my biggest cheerleader 🥹
It’s been almost 30 years of dance and 11 years of teaching. I genuinely feel like I’m fulfilling my purpose, and that’s a privilege I never want to take for granted.
This year, I’ll be directing 5 original productions alongside my wife, performing at 3 Queer Afro-Latin festivals, and even stepping into the world of drag competition 🥲
I’ve also been on a healing journey like no other, and I’m excited to continue meeting this new version of my soul.
A sweet reminder for anyone who needs it: if we’re still here, loving, growing, feeling, and fully living this life… we are already winning. ✨

⚜️Hecha de Oro⚜️
Join us on the second edition of the only Afro-Latin dance production in Austin TX brought to you by @orodancecompany .
This year we have new Oro dancers, a variety of new guest artists, and new shows😱🔥!
This multidisciplinary production tells the story of Oshun, the Yoruba deity of fertility, beauty, and love. Through Afro-Latin dance and music, witness the power, passion, and generosity of Oshun, who, despite being underestimated for her soft, feminine nature, remains one of the most resilient Orishas of the Yoruba pantheon. Oshun embodies the voice and strength of the disenfranchised, as well as the sensuality and divinity of creation.
Join us for a magical fusion of traditional folklore and Afro-Latin artistic innovation. Featuring salsa, flamenco, Afro-Cuban folk, live percussion, Cuban modern, hip-hop, rap, and non-binary partner dance, this performance takes you on a journey of courage and sacrifice, ultimately leading to self-love, acceptance, and freedom.
Get your tickets now before they sell out, cuz they will! Visit the link in my bio for all info 🔗
