The year was 1999 and I was living at a fresh spot down on Washington and hauser, I was working pretty steady in the broadcast integration biz and slanging sum weed and decided that I wanted to start throwing shows at my spot so I had my boy come through and built out some decent size walls in the parking lot to add privacy and invited a bunch of homies to come paint them, next thing I did was build a stage in the main big room then I shoved all my personal possessions behind a wall where my kitchen was so people could use the bathroom. Wanted to call it chicken scratch so it had a graffiti style name that would connect with the culture and then I got my brother @axisvalhalla to do the flyer ( hand drawn of course) went to kinkos for the photo copies and we were ready to go!! I love rock and metal so I got some great bands to perform and added in some hip hop to mix it up. Bought a couple kegs and some bottles of hard liquor and got a couple homegirls to bartend and then @superunleadedgasoline78 lived with me so he would slag weed and shrooms and we would get a nos tank and that was how I got into throwing shows!! Shit would get pretty packed up with heads, I probably threw like 3 or 4 of these that year, these were great times and many Los Angeles writers would be chilling at my spot during this time period. Looking back I maybe should’ve bought that place when they offered it to me but I decided to move on and I packed up all my shit put it in storage and headed to boulder Colorado to stay with my mom for a couple months with my dogs Sage & Noble and just snowboarded and chilled. No REGERTS!! Go where there’s no path and leave a trail………… Thank you @wendydarling22 for sending me this so I could remember where I came from so I know where I’m going

Skate died at 24 years old. Rob one died at 29 years old. Back died at 50 years old. Each one of them had more to give this world but now they only exist as memories in our minds, and pictures in our photos. You get to be here!! I get to be here!! We get just a little time on this planet with our family and friends and then we become memories to those who live beyond us. Take advantage of your time, make every thing you do count, Love strong. Hug hard. Be an inspirational. Most of all be a good human and know that any day could be your last day and that time is the one thing that you can never get back so make your actions count and stay blessed!! Los Angeles 1991. Me and @mear_one and @3500churchvan headed to Venice beach on our mountain bikes and scored some acid, we tripped around the canals then took a couple more tabs and headed north up the bike path, somewhere around the charthouse l started having a bad trip and things started getting really weird. I explain it like I was the terminator and I was being judged by all the beach goers, mad dogging and attacking random people until the cop rolled up and then it was him and me mono e mono!! When I woke up I felt like a fish out of water, sirens, helicopters, crowds of people sand whipping everywhere!! They thought I was on pcp, I was taken to UCLA and they saved my life, court, recovering from multiple gunshot wounds and 12,577 days later I’m here to share the story. Unfortunately John Macias who was shot that day also, lost his life, some people say we look alike!?! The cop who shot me ended up working bike patrol in my neighborhood and we became friendly with each other, I hold no ill will against him and I’m blessed to be here. Have a great day. Stay powerful.

“The little crew that could!!” Raised in Hollywood and currently working on capturing the world, world wide is a little cliche so I regress!! For me this journey started when I was 16 years old and I just turned 53 so it’s my life’s work. BLOOD,SWEAT and YEARS Wanted to highlight different aspects of THE BIG BAD CANT BE STOPPED CREW so let’s take it to the land down down under and shed some love on @cbs_oz !! Been knowing @jasy1102 since 1993 when @_just195_ introduced us at melrose and la brea (go a couple post back) we have kept in touch over the decades and finally we made hime crew and he was off to the races!! Adding members in Sydney and Melbourne and a little in between the crew has grow well out there with quality guys with high character!! @kadeosstheboss @dont__0ne @sofar_one @cool_combo_one @121odds @_teazer_ @unlmtdmc @astro0ne97_cbs @theinfamousdogfight @highergwcbs @straper_cbs @___gramizm @xylene_fiend @crunchkiller11 @kidparis_artist and maybe a couple more!?! Sorry been up since 2am so I apologize if I forgot anyone( dm me if so??) We (in the crew) share a a saying from the late great Skate and I would like to give the mates from our Australian chapter a big “CREW UP Y’ALL!!” Happy Friday and have a powerful weekend!! Met @axisvalhalla in the mid 80’s during a winter break from living in India, he lived a couple doors down from the Sikh ashram over near pico and robertson, my mom lived a block and half away and if anyone knows that neighborhood it’s very deep with American 🇺🇸 sikh’s !! I had started skateboarding in India so I was skating a red curb in front of his house, he didn’t judge me for sporting my turban and we hung out a good amount that winter, skateboarding and listening to metal then I went back to boarding school in India 🇮🇳 and eventually got kicked out for a myriad of reasons and was sent back to the states!! I then went to school in Albuquerque, New Mexico and after a half a year there I was asked not to come back, so I ended up in Los Angeles, living with my mom and me and Axis started, kicking it a lot skating, and at this point he had gotten into graffiti and had introduced the idea to me that I should grab a name and start tagging, I had already tried to emulate graffiti when I was in India and had chose the name radical rie, So my first tag in the states was derelict, then I think I chose the name ANGER , might’ve switched it to skorch for a second and then back to anger. Being new to Los Angeles I didn’t have a lot of friends and Axis introduced me to all of his junior high buddies. We hung out a lot in Westwood. Eventually we met other neighborhood skateboarders that were also getting into graffiti and we created our own little posse that would hang out and chill in the pico and Robertson area. If you’ve ever scoped out the original version of @cant_be_stopped_the_movie some of this storyline is in that documentary, but what they don’t cover in that documentary is the 40 year friendship that I’ve been able to share with my brother Axis. I love this guy through thick and thin, and I’m lucky to have not been judged by him for being a weird skater dude with a turban on. I appreciate you and the friendship that we’ve had over these last four decades means the world to me I just wanted to tell you that and anybody else that has a good friend to cherish them and as they say, give them their flowers when you can. 📷 @gardenampoc CAN’T BE STOPPED
