For 10 weeks, I worked @sohotheatre with an incredible cohort of creative and beautiful souls. We worked hard on our acts, had lots of laughs and tears along the way to put together this show. It was an honour to close out a sold out show 🤯
The Drag and Cabaret Lab has inspired me beyond words and I recommend it to anyone thinking of stepping in to the world of drag cabaret 🌍

This piece reflects a lot of how I feel and what I see of the incredibly strong WOC and Queer POC around me. We may be strong and resilient but we've had to be. Complimenting someone on how many punches they can take is never the compliment you think it is.
I don't want to be seen as resilient, I want to be seen as human. That I might cry and bleed and crumble too. Maybe you should check in on that friend who seems invincible, independent and strong. They might just need a hug too.

A weekend in the Lake District, with some amazing humans. A true blessing to meet these people and find this space. What do you mean I got to have a lil QPOC glamping trip with a sauna, being greeted in the morning by an army of cows, and my body managed to hike all day?!

The last time I was in the Lake District, this version of me didn't exist. I was with a bunch of white geologists mocking me for not understanding white bro camping "culture". I also didn't realise that this weekend we were sleeping in the next village over from one of the places I'd visited last time. So it felt pretty full circle.

It was a beautiful trip highlighting how far I've grown and that, yes, you CAN have queer melanated joy in the British wilderness. Yes, we belong and will occupy space. The image of silk bonnets sleeping in fields will never not heal me. Fuck your version of camping if it doesn't include that.
