Last week at Anew, we were joined by Alex Amouyel for an insightful conversation on the business model behind Newman’s Own and what it truly means to be “100% for purpose.” We explored how businesses can build impact directly into their model and how companies across various business structures can adopt purpose-driven approaches. Some of the biggest takeaways: “100% for purpose” can take many different forms, but it’s critical that more companies explore ways to expand their impact. We can all think about time as something we can donate. What would it look like if we each gave 10% of our time toward an impactful initiative? There are more purpose-driven companies than many people realize. Take a look at Patagonia, Humanitix, Dr. Seuss Enterprises, and more through the 100% for Purpose initiative. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the conversation! Stay tuned for our next Salon.

How do you capture a full week of creative energy, connection, and unforgettable moments in just one post? Still reminiscing on our takeover at @anewcafenyc every conversation, collaboration, and shared moment of inspiration made it something truly special. Grateful to everyone who showed up, shared space with us, and made the experience what it was. This is exactly why artist-led spaces and community-driven programming matter. Stay connected with us here at Art On The Ave and @anew_hq for more upcoming takeovers, events, and opportunities to be part of what’s next.. ✨ #artontheavenyc #publicartny #underrepresentedartists #placemaking #community

Community isn’t about aesthetics but built on stories. Come to Change My Mind a live storytelling experience May 14th 6-8p. This is our 3rd year and our first show of the summer is at @anew_hq , a beautiful five story brownstone that’s a social impact space in the west village, and it’s free through a grant from the @stophatenyc . Performers sharing their stories this time around are @jevonmjohnson @navthepoet @shay_marie_g @vanessalindley @slcollabventures The 3 most common words people say they feel after attending a Change My Mind Event are connected, inspired, and hopeful, so important during this time of disconnection and isolation.
