Continuing on with sharing climbs from the past year that I haven’t managed to do… yet (with some that I have!). So much of climbing is spent not getting to the top, so here’s to just enjoying the process ✨
Also 2025 was a mad year for my hair 😂 Can’t wait till it’s dry once again and I can head back out ❤️
Take an Earth Minute to welcome the new year!
In Scotland, 1st of January kicks off with a Loony Dook, a mad dash into ice-cold water to mark a fresh start 🥶🏊♂️
Studies suggest cold water immersion can send dopamine soaring (up to around 250%), giving you a mood lift that can last hours and helping your body practise staying calm under stress.
No Scottish loch nearby? Why not try finishing your shower with 30-60 seconds of cold water.
If you’re dipping outdoors, be sure to bring friends, move slowly, pick an easy exit point and always put safety first.
Start your new years with a reset (and slightly numb toes)
Cold water, clearer mind.

I guess summers officially over and it’s time for my return back online. So grateful for all the summer time adventures I’ve had from living on Skye for a month, ceilidh-ing the night away on Eigg and bopping about in Albania. Big love to all those in my life who’ve brought some warmth to a pretty tough year ❤️
A month of love and loss.
It started with an impromptu trip to Brione, where I fell in love with the place, the climbs, the moments in between. Grateful to have sent these two classics (no sends for the camera) and played on so many others.
Then, too soon, I had to say goodbye. Unexpected loss seems to linger in the most unexpected things, tears over an empty crisp packet, leaves waving in the wind, cooking breakfast, the delivery man asking if I’m alright. You find me when I least expect it.
This month has me thinking about how precious life is. If you need a reminder, listen to “Don’t Forget You’re Precious” by Alabaster dePlume. It’s been a bit of a mantra for me. I forget sometimes, but I’m trying not to
Officially a master of science! 🥳✨ It’s -3°C, I’m battling the end of a cold, feeling snotty AF, and trying to balance looking cute without freezing is a whole mood, but today, I’m just so grateful. To everyone whose love keeps me warm now and all year round—thank you. 🥰
Also, feeling so honoured to have won the award for best overall performance on my program (!!) Huge thanks to everyone who shared my Master’s diss call out, I appreciate you so much! Hoping to create a zine sometime in 2025, but life has been a whirlwind as I’ve just started a PhD! My research focuses on anticolonial climate education and seeks to challenge existing systems and use creative methods along the way so please do send through any books, readings, organisations or platforms you think I may find interesting (particularly things to do with alternative learning/ education) x
Its wild to think 2024 is almost over. Its been so lovely to be able to look back through the amazing photos from the @wanderersofcolour Climbing Festival. I still can’t quite believe we managed to put on the first climbing festival by and for BPOC in Europe!! 🎉
I’m so grateful for that magical weekend, the incredible festival team I got to work alongside to make it happen and everyone who came and made it so so special.
This festival was dreaming turned into reality, love put into practice, and honestly I can't wait for the next one 💚

Some beautiful film pics from @ailsabeck at the last @floscollective_ x @thealbacross creative day residency. Gutted I can't make the next one but here’s a poem I've dug out of my notebook that I wrote on that wonderful day about being swallowed up by a bog:
What would it feel like
To be engulfed
By the ground beneath your feet?
Not high amongst the trees
Or deep within the seas
But totally submerged, for no one to see.
I picture a softness
A warmth,
A welcoming embrace.
Surrounded by greeny yellows,
And boggy browns.
Oh how I wish to become,
A part of this sacred ground.
18 hours of driving, car park camping, fire breathing, midges, a mystery illness, and a good bit of climbing —Briançon, you were a hot mess but the best ❤️
So much love for these folks and for @climboutfest 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Was such a lovely weekend, filled with incredible people and so much queer joy, honestly can't wait for 2025!
Big shout out to the bouldering gang for taking on burnage together - you made my weekend very special 💚
