I am so excited to share that I'm bringing back my ReMemory Landscapes workshop for Stitch Salon next month!!
Join me on Saturday, April 25th at 10am and learn how to capture the abstract notion of memory through material exploration. Using reclaimed fabric, collage methods and applique techniques, participants will explore how to depict their personal memories of specific places. Previous experience with hand-sewing is not required.

About the exhibition:
A Stitch & Glitch in Time brings together thirteen Los Angeles-based artists who use textiles to explore technology, fashion, and collective histories. Los Angeles has a long history in textile production, both for industrial use and artistic expression. The processes and materials utilized by these artists embody this long and complex history – highlighting how textiles can simultaneously be highly personal objects while revealing the larger economic and social circumstances they were created within.
Exhibition Artists: Fafnir Adamites, Ekta Aggarwal, Diane Briones Williams, Lavialle Campbell, Mimi Haddon, Lorenzo Hurtado Segovia, Ahree Lee, Aubrey Longley-Cook, Kayla Mattes, Minga Opazo, Aneesa Shami Zizzo, Irene Georgia Tsatsos, and Jenny Yurshansky.
Back in October I had the opportunity to show some of my work at @thehouseoflebanon , via @lailajadallah in collaboration with @bema.museum and @aubalumnilachapter ❣️
I had the great honor and privilege of meeting Seta Manoukian (Ani Pema Drolma) and fellow artist-mother @nevinespirit at the reception, and am so grateful that Laila brought us all together for a beautiful exhibition. It was a pleasure talking briefly about my work that was inspired by my visit to Lebanon in 2017, and showing "Beirut Tapestry" for the first time outside of my studio.
