This chapter has been everything I did not know I needed. 4.5 years of growing, learning, and building a woman who can face anything. Took a chance on myself and moved 7 hours away to pursue higher education #229made. Through the stress, the silent tears no one saw or heard, and the moments when nothing made a sense, God held me close. His Grace carried me when my strength had NOTHING left to give.
Jackson State shaped me in ways I will carry with me forever. It poured into me, challenged me,stretched me beyond what I thought I could handle, and a curated a woman with a resume that speaks for itself.
My dreams were bigger than the temporary discomfort I was feeling, bigger than the long nights, and bigger than the doubt that tried to creep in. If you told the younger version of me that she would become into everything she prayed for, she would not have believed it. Yet here I am that God does not miss. EVER. Every single thing I accomplished I EARNED.

Oh to be THEE Renowned 85th ….I came into Jackson State University with a dream and I am leaving with a crown, a degree, and a story only God could write.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 says “Write it down and make it plain on tablets what I reveal to you, so that it can be read at a glance. Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed.” To be a queen it takes Discipline, Grit, Poise ….and a laundry list of other things lol . I knew that becoming Miss JSU without previously becoming a queen would be a journey, but it was a journey I knew I was ready for. My journey was never perfect, but it was mine, and it shaped a woman who knows her worth and walks in her purpose at all times.
To My Court and Advisors, I love y’all so deeply. You all are the example of what it means to be a village, I thank God for each one of you everyday. The Renown Royals will always have my heart. I know that each one of you will continue to make me proud. “It’s not easy being RENOWN” #RRTS👑
