A little bit about my short play, UMBRA, this Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May. âUmbra is the darkest part of a shadow, but this play lives in the grey space around it. It questions our need for certainty - how quickly we can judge, how readily we assume we understand. In this world that demands instant clarity, it asks what it means to sit with not knowing, and whether we can let our perspectives shift, rather than attempting to conclude or fixate too soon ⌠Last few tickets left for our six short plays at the Arden Theatre in Faversham, Kent. Had a go this time with a darker character - Atropos (or "The Cutter") from Greek Mythology. Words from a fabulous piece called "Conversation with the Cutter" by Amanda Digioia @amandadijoy
(The first time I encountered this delicious piece was through a show I produced via my theatre company @sihfpro which was brilliantly performed by @emilystride7 â¤ď¸ It's an extraordinary piece that has stuck with me since and I love it! đ)

A brand new first for me here! Rather than being "blink & you miss me" or "cutaway" girl, I've now had a go at performing properly for the camera! I revisited lines I performed a year ago for the stage production of "The Revlon Girl". A HUGE thank you to the truly incredible @andywolfactor at @wolfman_studio for the opportunity and for being so amazing to work with â¤ď¸ You gave me a chance and I hope I delivered well xx

One of the best new habits I started last year was the Good Stuff Jar. So the idea is that every time something good happens you write it on a post-it with the date on and pop it in the jar. Because of negativity bias itâs really easy to forget all the good stuff that happens by the end of the year. This started off as an experiment and I wasnât even expecting to half fill it. Unpacking everything has been quite inspirational and many of the best bits were not planned at all. As the saying goes âlife is what happens when you are busy making other plansâ.
