I am still reeling from the experience that has been ‘The Persian Version’ - now a 2023 Sundance Film Festival Audience Award Winner.
I’m so humbled and honoured by @marakeshfilms trust for me to play a part in the story of her life & the journey that has come with it.
The women in this project have been so amazing to be alongside. From Niousha, Layla, Bella, Mia, Boshra, Sachli, Parmida, and more. I am so lucky to have participated in the same project as such strong Iranian women.
If one thing is true about Iranian people - it is their ability to press on. As an Iranian-Assyrian, I feel so much community with this team. It is a privilege to press on with these people.
