Epiphany
I don’t think I fully gave myself the moment to process this. On the way to the f1 track with the police escort I found myself sitting there. PTSD kicking in, flashbacks to when I was 13 in a high speed pursuit that led to me getting arrested. I twitched and felt my life come full circle. it was strange realizing I was safe this time. looked at my hands and there I was filming the moment. crazy how life comes full circle sometimes

My Life: Oakland IV coming soon…
Filming in 7K 3:2 Open Gate on the @canonusa R6 III gives you the flexibility to frame for both horizontal and vertical in post
6960 × 4640 gives you room to recompose without overthinking the format while you’re shooting

Thank you, Tim Cook
Grateful for this era. The iPhone changed my life, gave me a camera, a voice, and a way to tell stories from Oakland to the world. Forever thankful for how Apple continues to support and elevate my storytelling. Looking ahead to this next chapter with John Ternus

My Apple Journey
*takes a deep breath… this is actually crazy to look back on. There was a time I couldn’t even get past the first round at Apple just tryna figure things out and creating with whatever I had. One video led to another, one opportunity led to the next, and over time things started to shift in ways I never could’ve planned. From Today at Apple to Shot on iPhone, to telling my story through Mac, to getting invited to Apple Park, to now directing a global project for their 50th anniversary with @Jlinhh … im still processing it. I never had a perfect plan, I just stayed consistent and trusted the process. Still feels like the beginning. Forever a student of the game, refining my vision and trying to be a better man today than I was yesterday. Thinking about what’s next, creating more art, telling more stories. To the kids who sat in the back of the classroom… I see you.
From East Oakland to the universe
