The Lost Boys is an 80s blockbuster brought thrillingly, beautifully to life (and death) onstage by @michaelarden and his expert team, hitting every beat of horror, humor, and heart you’d expect from its influences, married with absolutely cutting edge theater magic. It’s immersive, it’s audacious, it’s unforgettable, and most importantly, it’s fucking FUN. And the CAST and the VOICES! I’m so proud of Michael and too many loves to tag. Get to the Palace and join the coven. 🩸🦇
Serving Alexander Skivvsgård 🖤⛓️🔒. I used to be shy, if you can believe it. But now anytime @theskivviesnyc ask me to act like an idiot and take my clothes off, I come running. Thanks @brianjnash for jumping on the keys and @dwcostumes for help with the strip📷: @michaelhullnyc
I got through all of last year, and I’m here.
Was gonna do that carousel we all do but honestly I’d rather just look forward to the future. Hope I see you there. 🫂🥂
Cat’s a little bit out of the bag, so I thought I’d share a tiny glimpse of something absolutely massive we’ve been making for you. So grateful to @ctgla for really walking the walk when it comes to new work, new voices, and big ideas. 🐎🌄🪶
From a casting notice for our workshop earlier this year: “WEST is a new musical that follows the lives of the beloved American literary characters created by Mark Twain as they become adults, and embark on brand new adventures, encountering Native American cultures and heroes, all while confronting and reevaluating the stories that have formed their personal and collective histories.
WEST was co-written by Tara Moses (Seminole Nation of Oklahoma) and Andy Mientus. The reading will be directed by Michael Arden. Music and Lyrics by Jackson Teeley and Wade Fernandez (Menominee).”
Red Carpet Roundup!
When I was a theater kid experiencing Broadway opening nights via the internet, I always thought those real life events would have the same tenor as the threads about them on a chat board- rooms full of pithy competitive people all thirsting for one critical outcome or another depending on which show they’d pledged allegiance to, because one show’s success must mean another show’s failure and vice versa.
Then you get here and while there are a few people like that, they’re corny and everyone thinks so. The real ones are rooting for everything and everyone, because they know that getting anything to Broadway at all is a miracle, that the people who toil for years to make these things are real people who we all know and respect, and that a rising tide raises all boats in this crazy niche industry. Thus, I’ve found the energy of these nights is actually joyful and victorious regardless of what the papers say in the morning (I still read the paper in the morning). To that end, I love to look my best (and maybe lean a little too far into costume) on these nights because it’s my way of contributing to the festive atmosphere, saying thanks for the ticket and the drinks, and paying tribute to the work of all of the associated artists.
All this to say, I love our community. I love the reunions and triumphs and gallows humor and air kisses and silly outfits and delicious presence these nights give me. Openings make me feel like the good old days are right now and I am always so honored to be in the room. If you’re in the room too, I’m rooting for you, because I’m rooting for everything.

We saw you across the board and liked your vibe. Wanna get the check, mate?
What an absolute joy to celebrate so many loves and stars at the opening of @chessbway - most especially Bway It Boy @caseygarvin on his EIGHTH Bway show- with some of my absolute favorite people in the world. My ears needed to hear those world class voices on that score and my soul needed the ensuing dance party. A massive Knight.
📸: @jennyandersonphoto who always captures how it really felt to be there.
I was so thrilled to celebrate the work of so much theater royalty, especially my King @michaelarden who refuses to ever repeat himself, on the arm of my Queen @krysta_rod at the opening of @qovmusical !
@bethanytesarck styled me in this gorgeous suit by @landerosnewyork which looks like silk but is actually a structured sheer crinoline- rococo tapestry and construction drop cloth at once, a thin veneer of beauty, just like the Florida Versailles itself.
There’s been a lot of chatter about the subject of this show; what it’s all about, to which I’d say: if you’ve ever lusted over a Sephora haul unboxing video, if you’ve ever clicked purchase just for the thrill, if you’ve ever voted against the good of the many in hopes that you may someday be one of the few, if you’ve ever wanted ten of something you don’t even need one of- this show is about you.
