Derwent Edge in view from my route down to Wellhead from Pike Low in the Upper Derwent Valley.
I spent the night in a bivi under the trig point at Back Tor near Lost Lad which had the most beautiful stars for me to watch as I drifted off.
Got to this point early as the sun creeped over the edge burning up the mist as it rose.
Thought I’d share my own shot seeing as many of the larger hubs like to share this without even asking. I probably sound a little sour about this but giving credit somewhere in the post shouldn’t mean it’s ok to share others hard earned work without asking first.

That not so lonely tree near turret 38 on Hadrian’s wall.
Possibly Britain’s most photographed tree and it stands proud guarding against barbarians from the north.
I spent hours here and took too many shots but I couldn’t pass by without at least having a go 😍

Had a lovely few days away exploring the Yorkshire and Cleveland coastline and stayed in a place I dreamed I would one day.
Had the beach to myself this morning just the gulls cawing and the waves licking my feet.

The cursed Magpie mine from a resent visit I think it was a bank holiday so we didn’t expect to get the whole place virtually to ourselves. Such a lovely place to explore we took our time and spent a couple hours wandering around the site. It’s open 24 hours a day and it’s totally free as there’s nothing to actually open, it’s just there waiting for the few visitors it receives. There’s plenty of information around the site on the history of the mine and the others that shared the land near by. Interesting curse story and a great place for photography we enjoyed it lots.

Peeked my interest for at least n hour watching and photographing these beauties in the trees at a local nature reserve.
They hardly knew I was there they were so focused on munching I’d have to give a few moos to get them to pose properly but they were soon trained 🥳
