A small cross in the autumn, to this in 2026.
When in Mackworth...... 😁
My friend and brother in Christ @thomaswellstattoo designed and did this - what an incredible job, can't recommend him enough.
The lion & the lamb ✝️
Yesterday, a guest at youth Alpha asked me why Jesus had to die on a cross ✝️
So many people think being a Christian is about being good, earning Gods love/favour etc
I know you shouldn't answer questions at Alpha and the cross is next week, but they couldn't wait... I drew something like this pic.
Only the cross gets us across to God.
We can't earn it & don't deserve it.
The person shouted "oh I get it" 🙌
Last Sunday, they were in Church for the first time.
Have you ever grasped that only Jesus' death and resurrection can bring us into relationship with God?
Our RESPONSE is to live lives of love, serve His Church, tell others etc
(Theological friends, of course this is not the sum total of every angle of the cross, but this little picture has helped me explain the Gospel to hundreds of people over the years. And many many others before me.)
E L E V E N 🥳🥳🥳
Today we’ve celebrated our precious boy getting another year older. Mario, food, sunshine and his bestest friend 🥰
Still just about the smallest Bond, still such a handful, still brings so much joy 🤩
ABOUT EASTER SUNDAY ——> - We’re still amazed from Sunday!! It was such a special day for our Church and estate! - So many new guests joined us and it was incredible to see so many people gathering together to worship Jesus! - For many in our church family, it was their first Easter following Jesus, what a joy to celebrate that moment with them! - It was our largest Sunday since revitalisation in 2020 (possibly ever), with over 400 people across the day! - And at least a dozen people responded to the Gospel (Good News), placing their trust in the risen Jesus for the very first time! - One guest bravely came on Sunday after following us on Instagram. They’d messaged in the week saying they wanted to try church for the first time. They came on Easter Sunday, loved it, and said they’ll be back next week! 🙌 - All the glory goes to God and we are so thankful, and we’re praying for even more in the days ahead 🙏 - Perhaps next Sunday…you could be the new person?
E A S T E R. S U N D A Y ✝️
About today… I’ve been on the verge of tears all day. When we were called to revitalise a church in Mackworth 5.5 years ago we had no idea really of all that we would see. Our first Easter Sunday in 2021 (pic 2) was wonderful, socially distanced and wearing masks but a joy to come together to celebrate our risen Lord.
Today we’ve been blown away at the sheer number of lives we are seeing changed week by week including those who placed their faith in Jesus at our services today 🥹🙌🏻🔥
Pic 3 is one of 3 services today. So many people, so many lives changed, so much curiosity. God is on the move more than we have ever seen in our lives. We are overwhelmed, exhausted and so so grateful 🙏🏻 Grateful to the many, many people who make up St Francis who serve and give and pray and invite, you are all incredible. We could not do it without you all. But most of all we are grateful to Jesus, the one who gives life, the one who is faithful and true, the one who is who he says he is. Our God, King Jesus 👑🔥🙌🏻
He deserves all the praise. Hallelujah Christ is Risen!
Don't forget, clocks go forward tonight.
